World Heart Day was celebrated on 29/09/2015 in Our college, program started with a prayer, lighting the lamp and welcome address.
On this occasion college organized a competition of essay writing oral presentation for the students on the topic of Preventive cardiology in Ayurveda. Students presented the papers on preventive aspect of Cardio Vascular Diseases in Ayurveda.
On this day faculty members presented the paper.
- Guruprasad, Assistant Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta,spoke about the prevalence of CVD in India and influence of life style, food habit, and the environment on prevalence of CVD.
- P.K.Moharana, Associate Professor, Dept of Roga Vigyan,spoke about the different types of CVD with respect to its pathogenesis, its signs and symptoms and its management.
- Anuradha Maganti, Assistant Professor, Dept of Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga, given a lecture on preventive measures in case of Congenital anomalies of Fetus. She also gave tips for preventing such congenital anomalies. She stresses the importance of antenatal care like – dietic regimen in pregnant woman and also dos and don’ts to be followed during pregnancy.
- P.A.Sudhir, Professor dept of Shalakya Tantra, spoke about the different types of treatment mentioned in the classical texts like – Diavavyapasraya chikitsa, rasayana and shaman chikitsa. This emphasis the depth of Ayurveda knowledge in preventing cardiovascular diseases.
- Dr.RamaDas Maganti, shared his clinical experience in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Program was ended with the prize distribution to the students who participated in the essay writing, oral presentation and the survey.
