Our college had the fortune of interacting with Nobel laureates Ei-ichi Negishi, Japanese chemist, who was awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for palladium catalyzed cross couplings in organic synthesis, jointly with Richard F. Heck and Akira Suzuki. There was an interactive session between the teachers and Ei-ichi Negishi. He made a visit to the “Kadamba Vanam”, the herbal garden of our college. Negishi also shared a fragment of his knowledge in Chemistry with the teachers of SJSACH.
