As part of the 70th Independence Day celebrations, “Samarpanam 2016” was conducted on 23rd August 2016. S.Vinod and Vishnu Shankar, members of the Vivekananda Youth Forum interacted with the students and encouraged the youth of SJSACH to work towards the betterment of the nation. He emphasized that there is no age for achieving what one desires. Our students S.Amritha (I Professional), Divyashree.S (II Professional), Ananthalekshmi.R (III Professional), Parvathy Krishna (IV Professional) and Arthyca.J (Final Professional) presented speeches on various freedom fighters. The audience witnessed visuals on different freedom fighters, with a special emphasis on freedom fighters that faded away from the pages of history. A group song on “Vayam Bharathiyaah (We are Indians)” was presented by Megha.V (II Professional), K.K.Anagha (II Professional), Niveditha.K.Namboothiri (I Professional), Gayathri.J (I Professional). Certificates to the speakers were given away by Dr.G.R.R. Chakravarthy and the principal, Dr. Ramdas Maganti with a invoke speech on social service. The event was brought to a close with National Anthem. This program was organized by Dr.Uday Kumar, NSS Coordinator, SJSACH, Dr. Suvendu Rout, Assosiate Professor, Dr.Guru Prasad, Assistant professor and Sri.S.Thiagarajan, Teaching Assistant in Sanskrit.
