The fourth Vagvilasini Sabha in the year 2015-’16 was conducted on February 6, 2016. The occasion was graced by Dr.M.Jayaraman, Director, Dept. of Research, KYM, Chennai, and Dr.S.Venugopalan, HOD, Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture, SCSVMV. The programme began with an invocation to the almighty by Megha.V (I Year). The gathering was welcomed by Sri.S.Thiagarajan.
The second issue of the tri-monthly newsletter titled “Vagvilasini” was released with the blessings of the honourable guests, Prof.Dr.Ramdas Maganti, Principal, SJSACH, Prof.Dr.S.Swaminathan, HoD., Department of Samskrit, samhita & siddhanta and Prof.Dr.G.R.R.Chakravarthy, HoD., Department of Swasthavritta. Our students presented their papers on various aspects of Ayurveda. Dr.Guru Prasad, Dr. G.V.Karunakar and Dr. Rakhi Panda gave their expert opinion on the presentations made by the students. The participants were – D. Hanuman (I Year), R. Nandini (I Year), Sajeesh U.S (I Year), Bhumika.S (II Year), S. Balasubramaniam (II Year), D.Achyut Bharadwaj (II Year), Aarathy V.J (III Year), Madhuvrata.P (IV Year) and Shivani.M (IV Year). The participants were awarded with certificates. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr.P.K.Moharana. The Sabha was co-ordinated by Dr.P.K.Moharana and Sri.S.Thiagarajan.
