YOGA TRAINING CAMPS
On the eve of International yoga day, through department of Swasthavritta from Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College and hospital, we have conducted Yoga training programmes in below mentioned schools and colleges:
1. SKR Engineering college, Nazarathpet, Chennai
From 12th to 16th June 2017 we have conducted therapeutic yoga training programme, around 66 teaching faculty attended programme and were satisfied with our approach.
2. Jaya Jaya Shankara international school, Nazarathpet, Chennai,
From 17th to 22nd June 2017 we have conducted general yoga classes for students to improve memory and concentration. Around 200 students attended and also we taught therapeutic yoga for school teachers total 15 staff members attended.
3. Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Meppur, Chennai
We also conducted Yoga camp in Vivekanada vidyalaya, Meppur, Chennai, with around 100 students attended and we taught them yoga to improve memory and concentration.

The Third International Yoga Day has been celebrated in Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College and hospital, through Department of Swasthavritta.
Mr. Srinivasan, a yoga consultant from Chennai delivered lecture on “Therapeutic yoga” and demonstrated Yogasanas, between 8 AM and 9 AM.
Between 11AM and 12:00 noon, there was a grand programme in the auditorium, for which Prof. Dr G Srinivasu, Registrar, SCSVMV graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The programme started with lighting the lamp by dignitaries, invocation, followed by welcome address by Dr G R R Chakravarthy. Dr Guruprasad K put forth a training camp conducted by the department of Swasthavritta. Dr. G.R.R.Chakravarthy spoke on “The need of therapeutic yoga”. The chief guest then addressed the gathering. This was followed by the presidential address by Dr Ramadas maganti, Principal SJSACH. The chief guest was honoured by the dignitaries and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Guruprasad K.
This was followed with seminar for interns on “Health through therapeutic yoga”
