A CME on “Role Of Panchakarma In Skin Disesases” was held on 03/08/2017. The event was attended by all the staff members, interns and final year students. The programme started with a prayer followed by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries, viz., Dr. Mahesh and senior physician, Kottekkal, Dr. Ramesh, Chief of Ayurveda Research, AHRC, Dr. Venugopal, Marketing manager, AHRC, Dr. Ramadas Maganti, principal, SJSACH and Dr. P.A. Sudhir, HOD of Shalakya Tantra. The Welcome Address given by Dr.P.A. Sudhir. Dr.Ramesh gave an introduction to the topic and emphasised on the need of having a practical approach to panchakarma that matches the modern era. Dr. Mahesh gave the complete approach of treatment of Psoriasis. The treatment modality in different stages of psoriasis was explained in detail. He also spoke about the importance of diet and medicaments in treating the psoriasis. The programme was a ended with panel discussion followed by the National Anthem
